Good News and Bad News for SEC Sports

This may be my last blog for the next 4-6 weeks, but I'll try to check in during that time.  I like MLB, but it's still early in the season; and with games every day, I just rarely take time out to write about it.

This isn't as much of a "teaser", but I can't figure out a good way of posting pictures and charts here, so you'll have to go to the main blog...

LSU Wraps Up 2014-2015 Well; Football Is a Question Mark

I guess this is the only remnant of the TSN days left.  YGS apparently upgraded their site and left me behind.  It's frustrating, but can't get bogged down in nonsense, this is supposed to be fun...

I was getting ready to write about how encouraged I was with LSU sports over the last few months, and then I read this: http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/12689249-123/lsu-qb-anthony-jennings-two

I’ll talk about why that’s especially u...

The Pac-10 floating the idea to become the Pac-16 (Texas, A&M, Tech, Oklahoma, Okie State, Colorado).

Nebraska, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State and Baylor possibly being left out.

Then it ended with Nebraska l...

Holy Bracket Buster Batman!

Sheeeesh!  Heard that less than 1% of the brackets are correct due to the surprising wins today...Couple-la 14's beating 3's, the big UAB win, UCLA (who everyone said should not be in) won.

I usually have much better first days, but I am tanking and tanking hard.  Oh well, I won the NCAA Football Pool last year, came in second in the NFL pool, and won VAP's Basketball Pool the last two years.  (heee hee selfish promotion)!

Love the Madness!...

First I laughed , then I thought this will be omitted  (actually it never got there) from my  must watch list

Mitt Romney /Evander Holyfield in a charity boxing match. link

Further omissions  needed:

A-Rod updates

Opines on Chip Kelly

Whines from Jim Boeheim

Pleas from Pete Rose (you're only way into the HoF is when you're dead)

FU to Kentucky basketball

Most folks know I'm about equivalent not special rights, and you won't catch my a^s anywhere near Sharpton, but the mid 60's were different times. Texas Western (now UTEP), the first team to start five black players, defeated  Rupp's all white UK squad for the 1966 title  @ College Park, MD.

Race aside, it was a David vs Goliath story .

Anyway UK has rejected an offer to play UTEP in a 50 th anniversary game in 2016 and  the excuses in the linked article are typical...
