RAMS optimasm

well, i was fond of the fisher hire for the most part. and i was glad to see him go. the hewregime is trying to get it done thru free agency for a change:

connor barwin arrives. hes an elite olb in his prime and a great move for wade phillips 3/4.

Barwin spent 2011-2012 with Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who held the same position with Houston at that time. Phillips helped coach Barwin to one of his best seasons in 2011, with Barwin racking up 11.5 sacks a year after suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 1.

Since his injury in 2010, Barwin has not missed a game, making 96 consecutive starts for the Texans and Eagles. Barwin signed with Philadelphia in 2013, putting up a career high 14.5 sacks in 2014 for the club. He finished 2016 with 5.0 sacks and one forced fumble before being released earlier this month.

In all, Barwin has played 113 games with 50.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in his eight-year career. he is in the conversation for best olb in the game today. great pick up.

and he goes nicely with wade philips protege kayvon websterb at db who just arrived from denver.

they also got whitworth for vet lt, which puts robinson to rguard and upgrades the whole oline.and they await the arrival of c ryan groy from buffalo.

bring in lance dunbar as depth for gurley.

robert woods at wr.

can a superbowl be far behind? barwin!! yeah!

Be interesting to see what Phillips does for the defense. More interesting to me will be how the vaunted Denver defense does without him.

Kapo is perfect for Hollywood- another "knee-jerk" liberal.
