I'm not Lester Hayes but..

I'm sticking to it.

My Other5  (AAC,CUSA,MAC,MWC,Sunbelt) https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/104643398353248786505" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">google community is moving along and so is my adjunct blog http://vapor4.sportsblog.com/

Yes , this is an advertisement for myself, and yes I borrowed that from the late Norman Mailer, a writer who  cost me a few points on my 12th grade English term paper, as my 17-year old naive Catholic boy brain wasn't quite ready for all the Jewish angst in his Deer Park.

It's this time of year when I really miss Sporting News, which was  a great shopping center for a zillion perspectives.

Terps football should be shopping for a Durkin Donut in Ann Arbor.

Did Babs Leafs' contract require more interviews? He's become a chatty Cathy.

Clemson survived a feisty Gamecock and now must n't trip over a Tar Heel. Hey Bucknuts, Woody Hayes punched his way into retirement during the 1978 Gator bowl game against Clemson.

Durkin did the best he could with what he had, all season long. There was quite a bit of luck that went into some of those wins. Yesterday, luck ran out when talent (and motivation) steamrolled its way into and out of A2.

Oh dear gawd, that 1978 Gator Bowl. I'll never forget the moment. Sitting in a Winnebago, without heat, at a ski resort and watching the game on a 13" tv. What the hell was old man Woody thinking? That moment is etched into my mind.
