Sutter and Lombardi fired?

Robitaille promoted president and Blake vice president and GM?

Ark, I don't know your thoughts on Sutter and Lombardi after this season, but I know you have not liked Blake

Wonder if the Bruins are quite that happy with Cassidy? But unless Sutter waits around for playoff results it won't matter.

C'mon scurds, MTL's got themselves a keeper :)

I thought these two deserved another year. The problems this season were not due to Sutter. Brown and Gabo have been LT issues b/c of their contracts. Kopi was an anchor this year (although that might be an aberration). A-Mart and Muzzin were awful for the money they got paid. Of course, part of that is on DL for negotiating these deals.

My tickets prices went up by 9% for next year. That's the 3rd straight ticket hike for me. I renewed but others may not be so forgiving. I wouldn't be surprised if the Premier Seat holders (season seats to the Staples Center) starting balking. That brings the Clips and the Lakers into the equation and impact another AEG holding, the Staples Center itself.

I'm probably OK with Luc being Prez as that is primarily a league rulemaking/voting position only.

You're right though, I have major problems with Blake. Just b/c you played well in the uniform doesn't mean you're a good front office guy. Where did these guys learn how to manage a multi-million $$$ enterprise? Luc did not go to college. Blake I don't think graduated from Bowling Green.

They'd better bring some people in who know the cap.

Not a lot to like here except maybe Blake can draft better.

Oh, and don't buy into the hooey that Blake is a "Kings guy". He's a "me guy".

I remember your reservations on Gaborik signing long term. Reminded me of Hossa in Chicago. It may be alright at the beginning, but long term it will hurt.

Unless the cap goes up 20 million

Significant differences between Hossa and Gaborik.
1. Hossa does not get injured as much as Gabo does.
2. Hossa was 30 when he signed that contract, Gabo 32.

Blake said he expects the Kings to compete for the championship next year. Huh?
