it was a game the ducks simply had to win, and they did. barely. they rose to the occasion, overcame an early 2-0 lead and scratched out a victory. to me it felt like the ducks gave it all they had and it really wasnt quite enough, they should have lost this game too. they got lucky, but they kinda made their own luck too.

renne gave up a soft one which doesnt happen, and the preds lived up to their name by pouncing on opportunities that the ducks gave them.

it was another fun game to watch! but to me, the ducks played as well as they can tonite, and it was just barely enough to avoid a 2-0 deficit to take on the road with them. looks to me like the preds have room to improve, and the ducks dont.

karlson vs subban.

I think the Predators are the same night in and night out, their strength & weakness. The Ducks can outskate them, like Edmonton, but can they do it enough? They still look tired from the last series, but if the 5-1 comeback was enough to jar them out of their hangover they'll be hard to beat. They're still not themselves though; they usually run up a shot advantage even if they lose.

And they'll have to regain form as the Roadducks.

Getz really is playing up to his potential so far. Normally I'd be calling the Ducks but I keep hearing that rumor in the back of my head that Ark called NashVegas to win it before the playoffs began. So I'm pulling for the rumor.
