TEN 22 KC 21:
It probably shouldn't have happened, but it did. The team most thought the biggest threat to NE or Pitt is gone. Of course, it took an early whistle on a Mariota fumble-six (forward progress???), a non-fumble-six and a non-fumble-two (maybe good calls ) and Mariota catching his own batted-down pass and running it in on a play that sure looked like he was past the line of scrimmage when he threw. Plus a concussion to Kelce late in the 1st half.
Having said all that, KC blew a 21-3 lead and all the momentum possible at halftime. The offense went sour, either without Kelce or for other reasons. Tennessee wasn't exactly 'good', but they managed to score 3 times. In short, Andy's boys went from worldbeaters early to saps late, this time right at the midpoint. The big plays on defense they've come to rely on didn't fully materialize for one or another reason, early whistles among them.
Don't look for them to bring back Revis, who spent a lot of time avoiding tackles and was the volleyballer who sent Mariota's possibly-illegal pass back to him for the unlikely TD. And don't look for early blowout wins vs. NE to mean anything good (for the Chiefs at least).
Will they bring back Andy? They probably shouldn't but they probably will. How about Alex? Wasn't really his fault, but he's probably on the meat rack anyway.
As for the Titans, it's either a trip to Foxboro or Pittsburgh, the former if favored Jacksonville rediscovers its game. One thing is certain, Pitt will play either Jax or the Titans, NE either Buffalo or the Titans. I think I know what Vegas is thinking regarding the AFCC game already.
