Welcome To NE Ohio!

Posted by JDIN827 on August 6, 2011 at 2:55 PM

I hope you will all watch or at least read about the Hall of Fame Ceremony tonight, and get to see Northeast Ohio shine!  One thing I've always heard/read is how top notch the events (and planning)  are, but also how  well-treated everyone is (from the Enshrinees to the Public).  We do it and we do it well!  By the way, the Hall is expanding once again.   Nothing like Football, and nothin like seeing the Greats in the Hall.

The Hall of Fame Festival is BIG in Canton, and lasts about 2 weeks...Right down from balloon launches, to concerts and fireworks , to ribs burnoffs, to fashion shows, the Tailgating Parties, the Autograph Sessions, to the Enshrinees Dinner (where they get their yellow jacket), to the Famous Parade to the Ceremony itself.  I miss having the Enshrinement on the Lawn, as they moved it to Fawcett Stadium.

It's a BIG sports day for NE Ohioans...The Browns are holding "Family Day" down at the Stadium as I speak, with practice, autograph session and entertainment.  Single game Browns tickets went on sale today too (Of course I bought)!   Akron is hosting The Firestone Invitational (Helllllllllllllooo Galf) at the World Famous course.

Oh, then there's the Indians who stink.  They gave away another game last night...Guess they just want to concede the Division to the Tigs!

We loves our Sports in NE Ohio!

Sounds like a hoot of a time. Ribs too huh? Gotta love that.

Long way to go in the AL Central. I'm sure last night was a bit of a pisser but that kind of stuff will get redistributed amongst all the teams for the balance of the summer.

I would like to see the NFL provide some sort of restitution for Canton since the HOF game was cancelled due to the lockout. The businesses could have used the annual shot in the arm I'm sure.

BTW, Les Richter is going into the HOF this year. Does anybody realize he is also a finalist to get into the NASCAR HOF next year? How cool would that be?!

Hey JDIN, just looking at the schedule. Looks like the Tiggers and Injuns got a date in your town real soon.

By the way, I'm supposed to be visiting the general area soon (I use the word "general" loosely). We've got tix (7th year in a row) for the Norwalk Night Under Fire next Saturday. Might not be your cup of tea but it's a hoot of a people watching event.

Lots going on in your town and surrounding area. Kudos.

One last BTW....appreciate the "galf" throw-in.......Firestone is a great event/venue!!!
