Cavs-Celts

I'm not a fan of either team by a long shot, but I think the Cavs just pantsed the Celts on this deal.

Irving

for

Thomas

Crowder

2018 1RDP fm Brooklyn, top 10 protected. If it is protected, then it becomes UNPROTECTED in 2019.

Irving is 3 yrs younger and has an extra year on his contract. Both are similar players. But Thomas has never been a troublemaker. They got a haul after he said he wanted out.

Irving wanted out b/c he wants to be "the man". I wonder how that will over in BOS. While I loathe Ainge on just about every level, he has shown himself to be a very astute GM...... until trading the top overall pick in the draft, his inability to land Butler or George, and now this.

Irving is a Kobe Bryant type ball-hog w/o the defensive talent.

Well done, Cavs, well done.

The best part of the trade is the Nets 2018 pick because the Cavs are gonna be in the midst of a serious rebuild in the not too distant future.

KInda wanted to see Irving in San Antonio to be honest.

I'm hearing reports that the DP is unprotected for this year. BKL is going to suck again. I didn't realize you hated the Spurs so much.

Irving would have been an awful fit there. It's Pops' way or the highway.
