thx galf. i'll mention just 2: price signed by mtl to largest goalie contract ever. 8 yrs, 84 million.. they had no choice but to sign him. he is the best. will he win the cup for them? possible. the truth is he doesnt need to. the organization took the plunge. the hawks seem to have survived 2 of these contracts simultaneously with kane and taze. mandatory for mtl.
and the leafs bit on patrick marleau! exciting!! three-year, $18.75 million. its a great signing, top notch player, any fas out there looking for a place to win, look up and start walking towards the tower.

Bruins signed 3 20somethings nobody's heard of. 2 are from the minors, not sure how that qualifies as free agency. One of 'em was the AHL MVP, another their farm team's leading scorer. Bruin site says Sweeney will be 'cautious', a synonym for 'boring'. Heckuva pending-retirement gift for Chara, Bergeron et al, unless a lot of kids hit stride at once.

radulov to the stars on a 6 year deal. sorry to see him go, but i think dallas will regret it soon. he played very well for mtl, but he is a rehab project who is just about to enter into a nasty divorve with a wife who is upset with his relapse into partying ways. mtl has to sign golchenyuk now. they need a center badly.

Better than the Wings youth movement signing a 33 year old average (at best) player.
