As it should fj..... as it should (bother you). I think if Ray Rice was just some joe making 12.35 an hour, she would have ditched him long ago. But he is the meal ticket. She likely stands to gain financially even in a divorce if he gets paid.

One of the things that has not gotten a lot of attention is that women are indeed divided on a number of these "hot button" issues...... abortion, domestic violence, stripping/pornography. For me, the solutions start with a consensus among women, which is hopefully built around a Godly standard.

It seems popular to label any woman who marries a man with money as a "gold digger", but I hardly think that is accurate in many cases. People do fall in love regardless of status .It's  true that women are more bent on feelings than men as well.

It's also true that women have a tendency to feel like they can fix men or change them. Especially bad boys So while it's easy to see dollar signs , it's often more complex than that.

We don't know these people so it's impossible to know motivations and levels of sincerity. I guess that we can only hope that things work out well for all of them.

Interesting point on women changing men. Maybe that's why I married my wife. I felt she wouldn't try to change me. Changes occur anyway.

well this is one league that needs to be careful about setting precedent with this kind of stuff. the nfl isnt a marriage counselor or a police force. I want to know where the assault charges are, not why the nfl doesnt have its own jail.

the contracts have been signed, the cba is in place, league policies are in  place. and so are the police. rice's marriage really isnt roger goodell's business. the union should indeed keep the league in check on this one.

why isnt he under arrest.

We are in concurrence here. What's more unsettling in the larger scheme is how Goodell appears to be making up the rules as he goes along.

even more unsettling is goodell's blatant incompetence.  it's a police matter and they are investigating it. the league policy is clear. we are awaiting the facts so that the policy can be applied correctly and appropriately. noone condones spousal abuse. we wish the rices the best as they move forward. The nfl is first and foremost about football, and we care about our players and their families.

that will be 24 million dollars please.

If  there's any one case that they should have been able to get right from the beginning, it was this one.

For as much as a dislike the events that happened and what they say about Rice and his fiancee, I think he does have a legitimate complaint.

The NFLPA is reporting that the NFL and the Poets are not cooperating with their own Rice investigation. More arrogance by the league. Here's hoping that Rice gets reinstated. Bust the Shield's balls I say.

Would have been funnier than he!! if the #13 had picked up the loose ball and scored a TD for the Titanics.

Did anybody else see the Kaelin Clay fiasco on Saturday? I'd put him on suicide watch after that game changer.
