Race aside, it was a David vs Goliath story .

Anyway UK has rejected an offer to play UTEP in a 50 th anniversary game in 2016 and  the excuses in the linked article are typical...

I know it’s been a while, but often in the summer I’m too busy watching sports to blog much about them. College football is just the perfect sport for me to blog about since you have all your games finishing up on Saturday night, and (even with the national semifinal system) each game is much more important than an NFL game. When I stopped drinking in the spring of 1994, I recall that I delayed  sobriety til April to get one more Jameson weekend under my belt.  :D Yes, I tilted the neck back and guzzled straight from a fifth. I'm sure glad my drunken attempts to do the Irish jig pre-dated cellph...

I said I would write on the Luongo trade a day after it happened, but I'm back at the radio station I interned over the semester break and covering hockey (Canucks) all day makes me not want to bring my work home with me. So will probably wait until the summer.

As a member of the USBWA I am allowed a vote for their Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, Freshman of...

Pretty good article on possible outcomes. I have a feeling she could make all former athletes certify while current can't. Maybe the whole have an account with a sum earned for the player once they grad/leave early/injured will happen.

Who knows.
