Some added hockey fun this summer once the Stanley Cup is over as there is the re-born World Cup of Hockey.

There are the usual group of countries participating, but with an added twist.

Joining Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden and the United States, will be Team Europe and Team North America.

Team Europe is made up of players who are not from the countires from above, with Slovakia losing it's status as a hockey power. Team...

"North American Integration" --- Wazzat?

Just had a thought. It's not about sports. It's about the reality game.

Has anybody noticed that nothing makes sense? We have a president who's been doing everything possible to sink the economy, keep people on permanent disability/relief/welfare, and destroy accumulated wealth (aka 'savings and property value') via inflation by printing money for entitlements. His Fed chairmen have been practicing supply-side socialism, not varying the money supply to stimulate...

Ark, the Bounty Hunter

So..... there are times in life when you are tested to see how bad you want something.

How hungry are you, Ark?

Well, if you are hungry enough, you will stop at nothing to "get your man" so to speak.

In my case, it's 24 men.

Sporting news residue

I wish more SN folks were active here, but it's still  one of my favorite places to visit and as some of you  former t-heads know, the rez in the bowl got you the highest.

Best part: Posters read then  respond to your comments unlike most of the self-absorbed twiiter crowd.

Anyway, drink  lots of caffeeine , eat a lot of candy , and stick your middle finger in the eyes of  the Orwellian Pc police.

Merry Christmas and send all Steelers' gear to...

swallow this whistle

Ok, I've  been going back & forth about this one and will let you guess  about the accused.

I re-posted my  short, rarely sweet, blogs on the O5 conferences at you gab sports, and most of the posters enjoyed a look at topics  less covered. A few weeks ago, I mentioned to their CEOs  (yep that's their view of the site) that they deleted one of my blogs, and the next week I was fired (never was hired). Of course , they blamed WordPress glitches for the ...

Good News and Bad News for SEC Sports

This may be my last blog for the next 4-6 weeks, but I'll try to check in during that time.  I like MLB, but it's still early in the season; and with games every day, I just rarely take time out to write about it.

This isn't as much of a "teaser", but I can't figure out a good way of posting pictures and charts here, so you'll have to go to the main blog...

LSU Wraps Up 2014-2015 Well; Football Is a Question Mark

I guess this is the only remnant of the TSN days left.  YGS apparently upgraded their site and left me behind.  It's frustrating, but can't get bogged down in nonsense, this is supposed to be fun...

I was getting ready to write about how encouraged I was with LSU sports over the last few months, and then I read this:

I’ll talk about why that’s especially u...

My Solution to the College Baseball Controversy

Posted by theknightswhosay on May 30, 2015 at 11:25 PM Comments comments (7)

I’ve been following college baseball since 1989, about as long as I’ve followed the other major sports. There have been a few changes since then, and this year it seems a complication has developed. I’ll start with a little bit of background.

In the current system, there are 16 regional sites (which generally go to the best 16 teams in the tournament) with four teams at each site. The 16 winners then go to 8 super-regional sites–there is one for each ...

A New Home

Well, time for another update in the world of Mac.

Last time I gave one of these, I had just confirmed my practicum with TSN in Toronto for the final part of my schooling.

After nine weeks, that part has come to an end and I am offically done with school and will be walking across the stage (for the third time not counting high school) in June.

But, the bigger news is that I will be calling Toronto...
