Kept quiet for about a week but here it goes...
Does anyone think the Playoff Committee ISNT Political? What a bunch of BS! Sports commentators giving them kudos for denying public sentiment, and being courageous for not falling for politics? BS!
It’s as political as Dems vs. Republicans! Gimme a break!
If I hear the ANTI-BUCKEYE Herbie say anything more, I think I will go nuts! Just want to hit that boy upside the head! How courageous the committee was, how they didn’t allow public opinion get in the way. He's a &^%$#@! Buckeye and played for Ohio State. You don’t have to show favoritism (sure goes out of his way not too)! But damn it, you played for Ohio State University and you should be damn proud!
THIS year we bow down to what the God Nick Saban says. He starts yapping as soon as he loses and boy does he aim the dagger straight at the heart, eh? Yeah, If my team lost by 30 points to an unranked team in my division...Totally CLASSLESS. Urban just smiled. I would like to point out that the ENTIRE Ohio State organization, from AD to Coach to Players AND Commissioner Delaney acted in theeee most professional way. No one shouted, screamed and kraped on another team, nor the committee's decision. Buckeye Nation may be unhappy, but we said our peace and are now going to beat USC.
Interesting in that LAST year, the God Nick Saban was quoted as saying that ANY team that doesn’t win its conference championship shouldn’t be in the playoff. Uh, guess that means Ohio State and any team BUT Bama Nickie Boy.
Love Booger McFarland. Let's talk Losses. Bama one loss, Ohio State two. Bama the better team. Well, if we go by the Booger theory, Wisky and UCF should be in the playoff.
The Committee is NOTHING but political and they bow down to whomever. Year One? Ranked Ohio State higher than TCU and Baylor. Don’t tell me Politics, Brand Name and Viewership DIDNT matter. Conference Championship MEANT something then and was part of the criteria. Year Two? EVERYONE noted that Ohio State was clearly one of the Top 4, but didn’t get in. Sparty did as Champion. Conf Championship mattered, Losses mattered. They got thumped and we beat the krap out of Notre Dame.
Year 3? Conference Championship does NOT matter. Ohio State in. We got thumped. Penn State hangs tough with USC.
This year? Everyone says Bama played no one, got thumped by the one really good team they played, and didn’t go to the Championship. What did the Committee say the week before? It was really, really, really close between teams ranked 5-8 or 9. What did the Committee say a week later, after Ohio State defeated yet another Top 10 team, and Auburn lost and the God Saban spoke? Bama is equivocally better than Ohio State. POLITICAL. Guess ALOT changed in a week!
Horrible losses matter when it comes to Ohio State, i.e. Iowa. Clemson lost to Cuse. Miami lost to Pitt.
Let's be honest. The Committee didn’t want to see Ohio State get thumped by Clemson and thought Bama could be more competitive. Do I think we could beat Bama? Yes. Do I think we could beat Georgia? Maybe. Do I think we could beat OK or Clemson? Probably not.
Do I think Ohio State deserved a shot vs Bama? Yes, since we beat higher ranked teams in Wisky, Penn State and Michigan State. However, I am glad we are not in it, because we probably would get thumped by Clemson. This way, we have a chip on our shoulder, and we can beat USC (Another Conference Champion with better wins than Bama) left out. Frankly, giving Iowa 55 points doesnt make them a great team. I think we have the talent, but have been krappy at times. They didnt seem to care or go on all four cylinders. (If they did, they would be unbeatable!) Urban needs to fix that, because we have top notch talent on this team and reload and reload.
Rant Two - What can I say about the Cleveland Browns? I want 0-16 baby! Thee most dyfunctional, directionless, lack of everything I have EVER SEEN in my lifetime! 18 years later and still no franchise QB. Still no talent. Still dropping balls. Still cant tackle. Laughable. Division rivals dont even think you're a rival anymore. More GM, Coaching and Front Office changes. An Owner who doesnt know krap.
I dont know much about this new GM, but thakfully he's a football guy! And he got rid of Kenny Britt yesterday. Message to the team - if you dont work hard and produce, you're gone. You're not here to collect a paycheck! But we're heard it dozens of times before...We are going to get a QB. We are going to be competitive in the AFC North. We are turing this thing around. Passionate and loyal fan base. I think its four times in the last five years? Yadda. Yadda and Yadda.
If I were him, I would FIRE every *&^%$#@ talent scout who CANT Access talent if it hit them in their collective arses! Kept the Coach for consistency, but Im not sold on a guy who didnt produce good QB's and has suspect offensive playcalling. Nor am I enamored by a 1-28 record either.
Its about TIME to clean this mess up and get back to being the Cleveland Browns! Sellouts. Loud and Proud! Dawgs of Defense. Teams afraid to come here, knowing it will be a battle. Such a long way off!
Cavs rolling, Isiah plays soon, looking good!
ALWAYS...A Browns, Buckeyes, Tribe and Cavs Fan!
