Week that was in sports dealing with: the NHL playoffs are now into the third round but was covered by a dark cloud with the surprise death of Derek Boogaard and former player Matthew Barnaby being arrested on five accounts. The Flyers are suppose to host the Rangers in next seasons Winter Classic. The Islanders signed rookie sensation Michael Grabner to a new deal while Jaromir Jagr might be looking for an NHL contract for next season. The City of Glendale voted to keep the Coyotes which has changed Turth North's focus on buying the Atlanta Thrashers. Finland won their third ever World Hockey Championship highlighted by a tremendous goal. Hockey Canada President Bob Nicholson called out some players who rejected invites to the tournament. Jorge Posada continues to struggle and his days may be numbered in New York while the Blue Jays and Jose Bautista continue to stay hot. Pete Rose said he would like to manage again. The Washington Wizards decided to return back to retro bring back their old Bullets look. Stephen Brunt wrote an easay and video on why the Vancouver Canucks are not "Canada's Team" in this years playoffs.
